Lightwave market presence

I am curious regarding the market presence of Lightwave products. How does it stack up against the competition? Statistics have been elusive.

Thank you Exper--good scoop; however, as impressive as these projects are, are there any market statistics?

From what I can tell, no current numbers exist. Last ones I saw (on these fora) were a couple of years old. In those, LightWave seemed to have a lead everywhere but gaming and films (from what I can remember).

Well, this would require acess to info on overall sold licenses. Like all its competitors NT keep that to themselves so you won't see any really "hard" stats on this. I do not trust too much independent studies either 'cos they are alway somewhat biased towards one or the other program. Also it makes a large difference in what market/ context you are. I'm afraid you will not be able to get any hard facts just like you could get e.g. with the social structure of your hometown.
