External raid enclosure

I don't have the $$$ for Medea at the moment, - does anyone have experience with external enclosures supporting SATA drives with a SCSI interface that works well with VT4?

Thanks for the info, however with all the fuss about burst rates vs. sustained rates, I am not certain which is the best box for VT.
