free software capDVHS will capture HDV

In another thread, the question was raised regarding a capture tool for HDV. capDVHS will capture to an MPEG-2 transport file. It is a free download. The modified American version can be found at:

Just so that no one gets the wrong idea, SpeedEDIT DOES capture HDV.

And you do get a preview window and deck control in SpeedEDIT...

Gee ... didn't mean at all to give the impression that SpeedEdit didn't do it. Just answering another post assuming that someone wanted to do some capturing before their copy of SE arrived. :eek:
