I have been working on this for a day or two. I am happy with the lighting (my weakest skill), but I need to make the cap and do a bit more texturing.

Please feel free to offer c/c. Thanks. :lwicon:

Looks pretty cool to me, I can't tell if there is anything wrong or not but I'll leave that to the experts :)

Only comment I would make right now would be that the caustic effect seems a bit too bright for the lighting conditions.. The lights are low, so the light being reflected wouldnt be all that strong.. Imagine if the lights were turned up to say twice the level they are - the caustics would end up being blinding..
So yeah.. caustics should be more subtle.

kuzey: Thanks for taking a look.

voriax: Thanks for pointing that out. I put a bit of work in on the cap tonight. It is rendered in the same scene file here but I cranked down the caustics intensity. It does look much better. There's still work to do, but I think it's nearly there..

Here is a clay render. There are a few modeling adjustments I have to make.

Here is the most recent update. I have the modeling and texturing done for the pen. Now I just need a scene to put it in.
