LW 9 crashing

Hi,
has anyone had lots of crashes with LW 9. I have loaded 3 seats onto hp dual core intel Xeon pc's and LW crashes frequently on all of them. I also get an occasional error message after the crash which is below. have i not installed correctly or something? I quit all running apps before installing. Any help would be cool

They say that you're supposed to throw away the first set or config files from the install, try that?

'they say' - who are they, are there any threads about this that you are aware of.
