K me agian 2 questions

I want to animate smoke coming from a plane engine like the exhuast i used volumetric lighting and i want it to be smoke at the end ... so my thoughts was to and an obeject and texture it as hxpervoxel smoke and give it a bone so that when the plane swerves and stuuf it will look natural??
any other suggestions

And last but least like if you have a boat in the water how do i get the fomay ripples behind it and how would i get that effect if a plane pass over im used a volumetric lgiht but it din't look to niffty???

hey...hi...rapscallion here again...so you can try a few things...

...if you want to go with an object based solution, you can definitely try the hypervoxel solution, but avoid using a bone in this setup...instead try adding the inertia plug to add a little lag and sway to the trailing smoke object...the problem with this is that you won't get pieces of smoke that actually stay behind -it will always trail close behind and maintain more or less the same relative shape...a better way to use the object would be to add fx-emitter to it and us the vertices of the shape to emit particles as it goes, leaving a trail behind while constantly creating new smoke, like a real exhaust...

...if you don't need to be so strictly in control of the "shape" of the smoke, just add a good old fashioned particle emitter to your scene and parent it to the vehicle at the correct point of emission...then just set some gravity and smoky smoky smoky!

Hope that helps...wishing the best...from the void...j.p.rapscallion...
