this is the first test of a water running out of the box, the accuracy isnt pefrect as i didnt have time to do a more advanced sysmulation, i think caustics work perfect.

Sloshing about, and the burst where it leaves the box are GREAT!

It does look a bit jelly like once its out of the box.

Seems that is a big problem with HV's, they always appear like gelatine, lacking the flow of 'proper' water.

Even on the animated TV shows, it never really has the 'thinness' of water. Of course, if it was easy, we'd all be doing it ;)

Yeah, HV"s are wonderful things but not the best for liquids. But that's one of the better examples I've seen Dave.

Simple liquid dynamics were boasted for 7. Let's hope 8 will show some improvement in that area...

Dave, thats the best CG water i have ever seen.
As for looking a bit like gelatine, i cant realy see the point of having real world CG stuff looking too real, it defeats the purpose of animating it in the first place, IMO. (but thats just me)
Why not just crack out the video camera?

I need to do some water for an animation im working on, if i could get it looking like that illd be stoked.

pretty cool!
I agree, a little too blobby...why not try Flowtracer.p , the demo allows 1000 particles I think...

Otherwise, very cool movement of the PFX...
