Creating RTV

Do I have to use lightwave to create an RTV?

Isn't there a way to import a sequence of images from a directory as an animation?

Drag the directory/folder/bin containing the sequence of stills into TEd (set prefs for 1 frame still duration first) and in the file menu select Render Project. Set your render options for Uncompressed D1 Video and deselect audio if you don't have any.

Did the same thing from the DDR. Took apart a PowerPoint presentation, place the graphics in order in the DDR adding DVE's, then recorded to an RTV file.
