When I pretend to be an unknowing customer...
Go to the speededit product page...
See the news announcement 'Newtek launches speededit..'
click 'buy it now', i get directed to the newtek store, but there's no speededit...
There's also no announcement easy to see about when or why or how?
I'm a Lightwaver, so not very active in the video forums, but I'd like to get my hands on speededit as fast as I can. What is the heads up?

the launch was an intro to the public.
A release is when you can buy it.
Verrrrrrry close now.

... but they're not saying when so we'll just have to stay tuned.

Very close. But they are saying that since summer.
I need a application that can work with HDV now. I'm tired of what I'm using which doesn't work very well. But I'm not sure how much longer I can wait. If I buy something else I will most likely stick with it after the financial investment and time to learn it. I'm thinking of getting Avid Liquid if SE takes longer than end of the year to release or comes full of bugs when released or a functional demo is not available for downloading and trial, since I'm not buying an unknown and new application without trying it first. I hope they can deliver it. I have a big project coming in January and I need an editor that works.

My guess is that you'll have it by then. And I'm sure it will be pretty solid and not "full" of bugs.
That's the reason for the delay. this is a major release for NewTek and they have to get it right the first time.
Many eyes are watching.
And believe me, it will be much easier and faster than Liquid.
aloha,
Keith
Hang in there Mike,
Any day now is the word on the street.
From what I have gleaned in public and from leaks under the door
its going to be vintage NewTek, The Revolution all over again,
Fast, stable, very format friendly on the timeline, and easy.
