1st time with cloth effects & i am disapointed...how i can save my project??

Despite cloth FX being called that, its actually not that great at doing them. For a cartoony bear, you might be better off binding the clothes to the bones and using some weighted softFX to create some wiggle.

For what it's worth, here's a quick ClothFX solution. I'm rendering it now, so I'll post a Quicktime soon. For now, here is the content (contained in the ZIP attachment to this post).

If you have LW9.0, I know a good way to layer fine, fine wrinkles on top of this ClothFX deformation. It involves DP's wonderful MDD_MetaPointer node, though:

I'll bite: how?

You give such great info. Thanks.

I'll post an example after I get back from my drawing class tonight. What's wonderful about LW9.0 and DP's node is that it allows a way for the MetaLink deformation to happen BEFORE subdivision, while fine Texture Displacements get layered on AFTER subdivision.

Picture this -- use the MetaPointer in the Node Displacement section to playback the MDD data, and set the Node Displacements to occur "Before Bones." The MDD deformation will now occur before subdivision, as long as you set the regular Subdivision order to happen "After Bones."

Now, the Node Displacement will occur "Before Bones," and then the object will be subdivided. Stack as many Displacement plug-ins as you want on top of this, and they'll all occur "After Bones."

I think Texture Displacements and Lynx3D's Normal Displacement would be good for layering "fine wrinkles" on top of the ClothFX displacement.

Here's my first stab at it. It's a little jittery, so I probably should have lowered the calculation Resolution to increase the quality of the calculation. I used EditFX to solve two intersection problems that occurred in the original calculation.

When I get back from life drawing class, I'll see if I can improve it with a smoother calculation and LW9.0-enhanced wrinkles.

Molla,
I saw your results on another forum and it looks pretty good. What do you feel is wrong with it?

Here's the exact same calculation shown in the Quicktime above, played back with Denis Pontonnier's MDD MetaPointer Node (http://perso.orange.fr/dpont/plugins/MDD_Pointer.html). I layered a Turbulence displacment on top:

I have attached the content for the above Quicktime to this post.
