Hey!
Ive made a rough sketc of how I want this logo to be looking.(see attatched image) The sketch is only a simple Illustrator drawing. Then I head to lightwave to make this thing and im stuck :(
I start out with balls and when I try to connect them like shown on the sketc it gets all messed up. I simply cant figure out how I can connect this without messign up the mesh completely. Grrr. Ive done all sorts of stuff in 3D. Cars, faces, furniture, Toons and I get stuck on this simple stupid thing! :cursin: At first i thought, this is gonna be easy peasy, 10 mins tops. Rright...

Id highly apreciate some tips and tricks on this one.
Any special teqniques u guys would prefer? The transitions between the "balls" and the "tubes" has to be smooth and nice. If there was only 2 "arms" it would be cake, but this is getting on my nerve now, so pls fellow lightwavers give a poor bloke some tips.

There's a very similar object included with the program, which on my disk lives here.
C:\LightWave\Objects\MeniThings\Misc.

It's the one on my avatar.

Aha, found it. Looks like this is made by some simple box modelling.
This has a symetric design wich makes everything simpler, but..
Gonna have to try it out, but i suspect that when im done with the basic shape my ball in the middle will not be round and smooth. Ah well, will try some box bashing then.

Thx for your reply

You could also try creating some spheres and connecting them with the bridge tool.

maybe by using freezed metaballs as base object?

Thx for your replys :)
Sphere-bridge did the job ^^
Very hard to get the mesh on the middle sphere 100% correct since
the "arms" aint symetrical. But with a bit more tweaking its gonna look
the way I want it to :)

Thx again ppl.
Attatched a test render with the simple sphere-bridge as suggested.
The mesh has some flaws but with some tweaks its gonna be ok for this project :)
