I have had the Tricaster for a week I enjoy it,

but want to have titles come on the screen but not associated with overlays. Is there a basic titler in the edit mode or a way to do basic titles. If not will NewTek create new overlay set to buy that users can have input for ideas? I dont want to go throught the trouble of creating custom ones at this time.

Anyway for overlays to be animated?

Do I ever have the answer to this part for you JV. Back when TriCaster was a brand new product, I dug in and started modifying the title templates to be, well, more like templates. I set out to make all the templates have expanded uses, even change their basic nature for different uses. Interestingly, I expected what became my "jobs-pac" to be released by NewTek, but it didn't happen.

I originally tried to make every template do exactly what the original release version could do, plus much more, so as to not extend the scroll list. I quickly found that the originals could not be modified for things needed in many cases. When that happened, I grew the package with new ones. Over time that has grown from the original 96 Title Templates to the current 143, with only 17 unchanged. Font styles have grown from 71 to 93. All this, and yet the package takes up less drive space than the original version.

As far as user feedback, I live for it, and have modified many of the templates based on that or my personal findings as a user. After my seven months in development, sometimes pushed to almost around the clock efforts for NewTek, I settled into the reality of using what I made and receiving feedback from users. The results were many modifications and new templates that have been incorporated. I make these available to customers for no charge except for media and shipping if necessary. If it can be done by E-mail, there is no charge.

If you would like to take a look at a bunch of samples from the jobs-pac, just E-mail me at cineman@comcast.net. There should be plenty for you to evaluate the package. There is even a PDF file with them that contains some tips and tricks for using them, which you can go on to apply for any of your own future endeavors. The actual package has a full, illustrated manual covering every template.
