View Full Version : Poly's tweaking out in render

Hey all,

Another question from Trio here.

Things are actually going pretty smooth as I transition from Lightwave beginner to intermediate, although I've got a few more hurdles to go.

Namely, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my renders.

All the meshes look great in Layout, yet, when rendered, individual polys will blur or darken on a whim.

It happens to the same polys every time, no matter what the lighting conditions.

Anyone want to help me bridge the gap from beginner? I'm so close!

Thanks in advance!!

Post an image, it'll help. Just off of the top of my head, I'd say you probably have some nonplanars. In modeller type "w" to bring up the statistics panel, then select the nonplanars, then type "t" to triple them. This should take care of them.

Duplicate polys can do weird render stuff too, so check for that.
