Oh no! There I am, working away on a nice new animated version of my avatar, only to find that I am not allowed to upload it! When did that go?

Surely it is appropriate when we are using animation software to allow animated avatars?

Provided you host your avatar externally, you can animate it fine. Look at mine (and Kurtis's, for that matter)...

To have an animated avatar the only way it is store it externally?

I tried uploading an animated gif, and the forums convert it to jpg. So it lose the animation.

And I am sure I am on the 100x100 pixels.
