View Full Version : Aura VT file troubles
I'm running dual P4 2GHz, here lately when I use the load file requester in Aura VT, my system seems to bog down. Switching to a new folder OR scrolling more than a page down a long list in the requester turns the mouse cursor to an hour glass with a wait of almost 2 minutes.
I've had to resort to manually typing the path into the appropriate fields. It's almost like the good old DOS 2.11 days.
Any suggestions or solutions?

Not sure of the cause, but you could always try using the Windows file requestor instead (since you can change that within Aura).

Great tip!!!, I did not know that you could change change the default file requester window between the Aura version and the Windows version. I've always thought the Aura requester to be rather clunky.

I have a similar problem except that when I get to the folder that I want to import a file, Aura VT gives me a Windows error and shuts VT down.
What I am attempting to do is import a Digital Juice animated lower screen. It is an uncompressed AVI with alpha. Whatever format this is, Aura VT does not like it at all. What is the exact format that Aura VT is looking for? I am not real fluent in Aura VT, so this has always been a mystery for me. Any suggestions?

Is the shut down happening before you select the file or when you select the file and ask it to import?
If it is happening before you select the file then try Paul's suggestion and change the default file requester from the Aura requester to the standard windows file requester. You can change this by going to: Edit/Settings Panel then select the Interface tab, change the File requester from Aura to Windows. Then everytime you import or export you will see the standard windows file requester.
