Well, this is getting to be a real nuisance. Modeler is constantly freezing my entire system (i.e.: hard reset required). This is not something usual for a Pro system. I can't find the culprit, especially since there is no trail to follow on a system freeze of this magnitude. My first suspect is drivers (or anything to do with hardware in the OS), but the issue is isolated to Modeler.
I'd hate to have to reinstall again. If anybody has experienced the same, please respond.

1) When did it start happening?
2) What changed around that time frame? (think really hard)
3) Delete or rename all lw*.cfg files
4) Install new or rollback to old video drivers
5) Get rid of the ATI card :) (just a guess) :)

1) Been happening on and off since updating to 7.5c, but occurence is random until recently. Now, as soon as I use extender and move the new points, WHAM!, instant ice cubes. Right now, this IS a reproducable problem wrt that particular model.
2) Hmmm, let's see. New capture card, new capture software, new Photoshop, driver updates, Windows updates, Windows security updates, other new software installed, you name it. Problem is that in order to methodically trace the problem might require practically removing everything and reinstalling, which is not much different, but more work, than just reinstalling everything.
3) Might try that, but don't expect much success.
4) Video drivers have been working well with no updates coincident with the problem.
5) Wrong! :) GeForce4 Ti 4600 128MB - dual monitor setup (for at least the past five or six months).
Well, right now I'm pricing an Intel SE7505VB2 mobo and two Xeon 2.4GHz processors. If I'm going to reinstall and can upgrade, might as well wait to get the new hardware first. Puts a crimp in getting this model complete, but I think the benefits of a dual-processor system will outweigh the wait. Hopefully, this nastiness will disappear after installing the new hardware and (carefully) reinstalling software.

:) Oh well. Who makes the capture card? You are right, you would probably need to do a clean install of the OS and add a piece at a time in order to find the culprit. I would really try renaming the config files, it's too easy NOT to do.
