Hello, I got my model and bone weights into Motion Builder except the knee joints are inverted. Something is obviously backwards but I'm not sure what is causing it. Everything looks fine in lightwave and the arms seem to be working fine as well when I activate the control rig. I know it's not the inverted legs feature because that is in MB 7.5 not in 7.0 which is what I'm using.

I just noticed that the bone influences that are automatically applied to the mesh inside of layout, also get applied within the MB FBX file as well. How cool is that!? Still haven't figured out the problem with the knees yet.

..if youre not using weight maps to control the bone influence, then the influence is applied directly in layout once you rest the bones, and it is that influence alone that gets exported, this can sometimes leave an area of vertices behind once you get into mb, so weights to distribute a bone influence just that little bit further is quite useful when going to mb...>

Good to know thanks, I'll use weight maps as well.
