View Full Version : How do I create the Sub-D to pivot and stretch, instead of ....

As the topic says. I am trying to move the object around via SUB-D's.

as you can see above, there is a lip(like a pop can would have)

however after I smooth shift again to move the new geometry towards the middle of the can, it takes the "lip" with it. I tried cut and paste, but the new data doesnt paste in.

Any suggestions? Thanks

eh crap, stupid yahoo. no wonder nobody uses them anymore.

anyways i found out that i had to move the line more so i could use SMOOTH SHIFT again and then I was able to get it. long story short, i needed more real estate to do another smooth shift
