Hi All, I'm looking for a way to make tire tracks. Not a bump map but a simple line showing where the wheels are - as if the wheels were painting the ground. Any ideas? Thanks, Henk

What version of LW do you have? LW v.7 and before has an example with a Hummer leaving tracks across the desert floor, I don't know if v.8 has it, but v.9 apparently does not.

I'm using 8.5
Seems like a common thing to want to do -- I just can't find any tutorials or anything on it.

You could select all the polys on the tread that are going to touch the floor and make a cylindrical UV map with them - you'd get a floor projection. To get the projection as polys, just export as EPS and import back.

Hi Henk,
Dennis Pontonntier has a bunch of ported renderman shaders including one called marker pen which looks like what you need. The shaders are free. :)
