Does anyone know how to achieve this hazy planet atmosphere as seen in Dan Maas' mars rover animation. I've tried various glow settings but can't seem to get it right. Also, I have a star field but am unable to see it through my atmosphere. Help!

Try putting a light behind you planet object and add a lens flare ?

For atmospheres, I use a sphere about 102%-105% the size of the planet with 2 instances of edge transparency on. Set the first one to opaque, edge threshold to about 0.8, then the second to transparent, edge threshold to about 0.2. The object dissolve is set to about 50-66%, Turn off cast shadows and self-shadow, then turn on recieve shadows. Make it double-sided too. Play with these settings until you get what you want.

Thanks for the help. I'll give these a try.
