??EPSF importer not appearing on macbook pro

My problem is that when I hit import or export nothing happens,
no import screen appears, no error message, nothing. Lightwave
8 was one of the programs transferred from an G4 ibook to
my new macbbok pro using the initial transfer files via firewire
option. Import worked perfectly in my ibook but using my MB Pro
, like I said, I get nothing when I hit import.

Any Ideas????

it was broken in the 8.x series of upates but works again in 9 - and 8.5 mehtinks too

Methinks not, it should work fine on the Mac as long as you're running the latest version of LightWave: 8.5 (http://register.newtek.com/downloads.aspx)

Try this though; go to Hard Drive : Users : <your user folder> : Library : Preferences and delete all the LightWave... 8 Prefs files you find. Restart LightWave and press Alt/Option + F11, choose "Scan Directory" and use Hard Drive : Applications : LightWave [8] : plugins.

When it's done close that menu and press Alt/Option + F10, in the top-right choose "Presets" and make sure you set it to "Default". Now try it, it should work.
