lightwave does not start - hub issue

howdy,

ever since i got my cable modem, both lightwave 8.5 and 9 have stopped working - not even STARTING!

on a hunch, i killed the hub and now it starts.

Sounds like a firewall issue.Try disabling your software firewall and see if that allows LW to run.

if that's it though, lw's hub is bad news! it should not require disabling a firewall to get a computer graphics program to run!

Layout and modeler communicate through the hub via tcp/ip protocol. Therefore a software firewall can easily block LW from running.

I find re installing the sentinel driver which comes with 9 (driver 7.3) fixed my firewall problem. imade sure I uninstalled the previous driver though.
