Hello to all of our Aura friends,

TV Paint Developpement is proud to announce a new plug in to enhance your TV Paint technology. This new plug in, Super Nova, is a super cool new way to generate realistic supernova bursts within Aura 2. Super Nova is a great way to create fully animatable light bursts with amazingly tunable flare effects. You can adjust the size, number of spokes, color and all other parameters within Super Nova.

Super Nova is a free plug in available from the TVPaint Developpement website. Just head to the TVPaint website for more details on how to download. www.tvpaint.com

We also want to let you know that there will be a big announcement very soon that will detail the future of TV Paint and the forthcoming advancements in our rock solid technology. There is big stuff on the horizon for TV Paint, so look for more information from us in a couple of weeks.

In the mean time, be assured that TV Paint is here for you, our loyal customers. We gladly provide help and support for all existing TVPaint Technology, including Newtek’s Aura and Aura for the Video Toaster (Aura VT) family of products.

Once again, look for a big announcement in the coming weeks, and stay tuned for more cool freebies from TV Paint.

Thanks!

Got mine within minutes of submitting the request. Must be a popular plugin. No, haven't had time to try it yet.

You must be part of some priveleged elite. I tried again to register under a different name, and i still havent' gotten an email.... oh well....

I guess things are still under "developpment" perhaps.

Yeah, despite all the hype, the system slows way down when you're running dual p's under the hood; knot all they're nockked up to be. :D

I had a problem registering at first. I had to change my level of security to allow the TVPaint site to put cookies on my computer.

Good point Norman, didn't think of that. I've got IE set so I have to manually accept cookies, which I only do in situations like this, these forums, sites I'm purchasing from, etc. For everything else, cookies are banned. It does make a difference.

Does anyone besides me hope the Tvpaint (Aura2.5) is going to announce a LW-Aura2.5 upgrade package soon? I want to upgrade to LW7.5 for the LW8 deal however I would prefer a special with LW-Aura versus LW-DFX+. I really hated to see Newtek shed Aura and it reminded me of MetaCreations breaking up a few years back. I placed a thread in community section before seeing this Aura specific thread. What is the future of Aura?
Thanks Mike

The future is exceedingly bright. TVPaint is developing a major upgrade of which there will be more announced soon. Keep an eye on their website, where they are also uploading a new free plugin every month. Also you can join a thread there, with Sebastien Miglio as moderated and he will respond to your suggestions for the upgrade.

Thanks for the good news Paul,
I just hope Newtek and Tvpaint keep their bonds and integration of LW/Aura. I ‘v come to think of Aura as I did with oils and canvas. In fact would love to buy an Epson 2200 for Giclee printing and oil touch up.

Check out http://www.infinity-micro.com for a great deal on this printer. I paid about $585 for it a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful pictures, but, prints rather slow at best quality.

Thanks Norman,
This year I bought a canon i850 and it works fine for my needs as the wait for the Epson 2200 to be mass-produced was just too long and the Epson’s early threads and reviews showed problems. Giclee would be a hobby (or minor income as my previous oils) and would sit along my astronomy 12.5-inch reflector collecting dust. Perhaps when my present programming projects are done I can go back to my beloved hobbies.
I just hope Tvpaint (Aura) developers keep PNG format and work for Web integration tools so I can use Aura with Flash as I’m not great with Fireworks.
Thanks, Mike.
