Dear all
In my quest to obtain an efficient 3D Lightwave authoring computer I have been bombarded with conflicting advise from suppliers! I have narrowed the spec down and thought the best advise would come from the people who actually used Lightwave.
My machine will have (amongst other components):
80GB hard drive
2048mb (4 x 512MB) of ram
Which would be best - a) 2 x 2.8GHz Xeon or b) 2 x 3.06GHz Xeon (this option is a lot more money - would I see a significant improvement to justify the extra cost?)
Which would be best - a) Quadro FX2000 card or b) 3D Labs Wildcat 4 7210 card (I understand this card doesn't support Direct X 9 - what ever that means, where the FX2000 does?)
Look forward to your comments.
