I like the bump mapping on the metal and the texturing on the cloth. Nice.

Absolutely awesome except for one thing - his eye(s). They look a little lifeless. Just work on the texturing a little and you have a masterpiece!!

IF you were tyring for photrelaiism, the only part that works well is the tunic.THe metal armour is a great design, but the sufacing does not look real. For a start, you need a good environment map for the reflection
The modeling of the character's eyes could use improvment as well, they are too flat, and the lips are too pouty, the upper lip area where it meets the cheek looks odd.

Brilliant! I like it a lot.

Minor suggestions:

As others have said, the eye is not quite right - I think it would look a lot better if you darkened the coloured part, and lost the highlight.

Maybe make the lips a little darker too.

Excellent work though.

Hi Maxreal,

Very nice image and very nice modeling on the armour.
The compression of your image takes away a lot of detail, especialy in the armour because the color contrast is low there.
I think the tunic is atracting too much attention right now, you might wanna tone down the bump a little ...
Also, to give the image a little more story you could make the background a big stone wall with some spears standing against it behind his back. Not a in-your-face stone wall though, just hint at it being there.

On closer examination, it looks that the lighting is off, it appears the guy is lit frontal (judgeing from the shadows on the character) yet the volumetric light behind him sugests that the light comes from above.

I'm being quite critical here but I realy do like your image!

Very nice! While it's not completely photorealistic, your style and the look is quite good. I wouldn't mind seeing something like this animated looking exactly as you have it now. It almost has a painted feeling...
