Hmmm, well, did you try installing the driver on your LW disc? I'm using XP Pro both at work and at home (at work is a Dell Precision m50). In both instances, I installed the Sentinel driver from my LW disc and I encountered no problems. The driver I use is on the 7.0 disc.

It's best (as far as WinXP is concerned) to use the latest build of the drivers (5.41.1) you can download them by clicking here (ftp://anonftp.rainbow.com/support/SSD5411-32bit.exe).

I never had any problem on XP with the drivers that ship with 6.5. Are you using a parallel dongle or USB? Are you actually having any errors/problems?

Thanks guys.

I downloaded a Sentinel driver for XP 32bit. There are 32 bit version, Non-MSI version, and 64 bit Version for XP Pro.
I don't know what's different. Anyone have any idea?

Anyway, my LightWave recognize my doungle. I am using USB doungle for both Mac and Windows.

I don't think NEWTEK even consider XP as a basic system. I could not find any information in this web site. Technical Support was not sure that LightWave 6.5b works with XP Pro.

I love how LightWave works in my Xeon Dual 2.4G System. Hopely I can be more creative with this set-up.

Thanks you guys for help.

I will upgrade If I can make money out of this box.

The 64-bit version is for Intel Itanium's running WinXP Pro 64-bit Editon.

I've run LightWave 6.5 under WinXP Pro just fine although NewTek have only certified 7.5 to work under XP.

The upgrade is well worth it and if you do it now you'll get Eyeon's Digital Fusion X+ AND LightWave 8 FREE!! :)
