frame dropping with SR

anyone knows why frames dropping when printing to tape *.rtv-files with SR5.5 while the same file from same IDE RAID prints to tape fine with VT2?
dell530 dual 2.6
2 x 7.200 2in1stripe (aprox. 65mb/sec.)

So are you saying the difference beween the two situaions is SR 5.5 or is the difference the hardrives.

Oh, I see,

the difference between the two situations is the software: with using VT2 for printing to tape, it will have no framedropping but with SpeedRazor it starts dropping frames after 4 mituntes and the getting worse until it almost freezes.
I just mentioned the system and harddrive in case that SR requires SCSI or so.
