Ahh, very pleasing to the eye! I think the lighting, pose (the motion it implies) and the expression is what makes this a fine piece. Thanks for posting!
(YAY! Something posted in the Gallery - Finished that's...FINISHED!) :D

I have to thank all of you ;)
I'm very happy that you like this character cos it's my mascotte and so I think it could be work.... ;)
I spent one month to think, study and create it like I want....
This is a cartoon test

Not so keen on the cartoony one, but love the first image.
I would NEVER have thought of putting a solo character so far off centre, but that works really well too.
Wonder why?!

For "riki": I'm working on the walk cicle but it's very difficult to me find time to do it ;)
For "Starbase1": I choose this pose cos' I think that our eyes never look in centre of a monitor or a pictures, and so I think that this method it's really good to guide the eye to look in a particular point and catch all the particulars of an image.
Sorry for my english, I hope that you understand me.... ;)
Bye Bye

Wow. I love that character. So cute. Don't cell shade him. He's perfect already. That blue skin texture (and its reflection map) is great for his character.
So now the tech stuff:
No global illumination? No radiosity or image based lighting? OK, so how did you light it? Any shaders or post processing?

This is a tecnic that I have svilupped from myself.
First of all I didn't use post processing.
I used 4 lights to illuminate the character. One of this have the shadows in raytracing but with lightwave I have moved the light inside one frame and after I have apllied motion blur tu blur it....
that's all...... ;)
Thanks
me to I think that in cell shading is not so nice then in normal render but it was only a test ;)
