Still can't delete layers properly

I'm trying to delete layers without running into the "shifting content but not names" bug.

I've updated to 8.5. There is a plugin called "delete layers" which I assume is the sameone that shows in the downloads web page but can't actually be downloaded.

I run that plugin of the associated .lsp. I still get the problem with the contents of the layer being shifted, but the names remaining the same.

Am I missing something?
