Hum from VT4 SX84 output

I have done a search and found several solutions. I have asked my client to do as some has suggested but still to no avail.

Currently my client has a VT4 on a Dell 690. They found hum/buzz when playing video from DDR. They have tried to resolve the cables as well as groundings. They even switched to 2L and 2R from 1L and 1R but still has the hum. They said that when the hum even exists when they play from the built-in soundcard.

Now, I wonder if the Dell 690 is the culprit or are there anyone with this issues with the VT.

I don't think I've ever heard of this one. Can you see the hum on the waveform ? Might have been digitized because of a bad input cable....

If you are getting hum from both VT and the built in sound card, the problem is almost certainly outside the computer.

I'd check for bad cables and ground loops.
