It loks great, really great i like overall mood and render even if renders are little bit grainy they look realistic :). Bravo.

Hi, I've used GI and every single rendering, calculated at 1600x1200, don't take me more than 3/4 hours on a base PC at 64bit with 1Gb of RAM..
I'm pleased that all of you like the pictures.. thanks..

Great work!!
Did you use monte Carlo. How many bounces did you have? Are all lights raytraced or just the ones pointing down.
Your times seem very low for such excellent images.

I did, I've used montecarlo with intensity at 100%.. 3 bounces at 0.5 lighting quality..
There are about 100 spotlight all rad, ray and with falloff.. plus one extra light, with no shadow, pointing at ceiling..
All the geometry, materials and scene are optimized.. nothing unnecessary.. no unnecessary reflections, refractions.. no unnecessary bump and so on..
I've notice that LW react differently if all the geometry are on the same layer, on different layer but in the same file or in a more complex way..
I've never done any kind of structured test about.. but before the final rendering I do some speed tests to organize the scene..
One more thing.. I don't understand why many, many people think that the ambient light has not to be set at more then 5 or 10.. In those images the ambient light is set at 50%.. tie'

Very smooth renders. Took your PC less time than I would have thought.
I think that ambient light guideline you heard about is for non-GI solutions. In standard raytrace renders a high ambient light setting is not too useful.
Thank you for your reply and enjoy your countries world cup win.
