What I want to do is to have it all subpatched, but I want to mantain the long stripes sharp (while having the top of them subpatched also).

So to my question how can I subpatch a shape and mantain some sharp details?

Thanks

Hey there Bidigam,

Add your object to your next reply and I'll show you a couple of different ways of getting what you want using Sub-patch weights or Bandsaw Pro.:)

Hey there Bidigam!

Please, don't accuse me of anything like that, or call me names, when you don't even know me. In all honesty, I completely forgot all about this thread. There would be absolutely no reason for me to steal your object, when I have no idea what it's even supposed to be. I'm in the middle of 4 different projects right now, and I plum forgot. Also, I've been starting other threads on how to fix my own LW problems, and answering others to try to help them with theirs. Finally, I do not see any attachments of this LWO file in the posts you sent. So, I cannot do anything with a file I do not have.

I really do want to help you with your problem, if I can, and I do think I can, but you have to send an attachment of this LWO file so I can take a crack at showing you what I think should be done to it.

Once you send your next post, with attachment included, please, drop me (THREEL) a private message, and that will alert me that you sent a new post with attachment.

Thanks! THREEL, but you can call me AL.:D

Check out this page at the LW demo video gallery.
http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/videos.php

Click on the one labled "Edge Weighting", which is located directly below the big words "Features". After watching this, select all of the points/edges, your choice, along where you want hard edges. Hope this helped,
