Which is better, I'm not sure whuch way I want to go for VT5. Can I get some feed back from the community on both sides?

According to at least one dealer, Opterons are currently the better choice. In about a month Intel will be releasing some new chips that have the promise of taking over.

Unless Intel has redesigned their FSB to be like AMDs then the Opterons will still rule!

Not necessarily. I don't really know what makes VT tick, but Intel's new CPUs have much better SSE performance than the Opterons. They also have more cache and a few other advantages. The only way I can see the Opteron really beating the Woodcrests, is if the application only really cares about memory latency.
