Here the head of a model I am working on. (Should be working on my Lego scene, but it is on my computer, which I can't get to at the moment:grumpy:
The skin is supposed to have that slimey to sight not touch look. The background is strange, but I just needed a contrast for the head.

Crits, Comments, Questions, Advice etc etc etc :D
Welcome.

Need help with modeling the body (using box modeling)
:help:

Thanks in advance:)

He is the next version. He is almost done. I would like to a manta ray like flap of skin between the limbs. Any comments?

Hi Skinner3D,

What type of "feel" are you going for with this character?

Right now it looks a little like a kid's toy, like those little plastic figures that come in cereal boxes or gum-ball machines. This is primarily from the plastic looking texture and the primary blue being used. I also get that "toy" feeling from the relatively geometric looking shapes, particularly in the feet, legs and abdomen.

I don't mean this in a negative way at all. The character I'm currently animating in my short BlastOff is a "toy" that's come to life. That's why I've textured it using a rather simple primary greenish texture lacking many "realistic" features like wrinkles or subtle color variations. I also used relatively geometric shapes that might be seen in such a toy.

I actually hadn't had much planned for this model.:bump: I created him in a few hours when I couldn't work on my Lego scene. I was on my laptop the scene is on my destop. I like your toy suggestion though.
