I thought I'd share this cool idea I came up with while thinking about rigging - to speed up creation of Nulls for IK.
1) In modeler, create the skelegons you need.
2) In point selection mode, select the joints of the skelegons where you will later need a null.
3) Copy and paste these points, then convert them to polys.
4) With these points still selected, Add Powergons. Change the first bit from "AddSpotlight LGON" to "AddNull IKtarget"
5) Load your character into layout, and 'Do Powergons'
6) Voila! Your character now has a host of Nulls already in place, named IKtarget(1), IKtarget(2), etc ready for the rest of setup.
Hope someone finds this useful :)
