When you patch do you usually use a high density mesh rather than a low density one and then turn them into subpatches? I always go for the subpatch method.
Are the rear wheels on the same level, they look a little lower down that the front ones.

WEll, what I usually do is I make a low density mesh and then subpatch it. I then leave it in subpatches to render.
This car, was my first attempt at using splines, and the mesh came out so dense that it didn't need subpatching.
I've never modeled cars before, and I wasn't sure about what to do.

Heya, im replying to my own posts far too much.
heres a quick render. its still got eroors that need smoothing out. but this is the basic idea.

While I haven't built a car myself (yet) I am able to observer that the car looks totally suspect... but I think you know that... and thats before the completely daft looking guns. Why are you doing these just out of interest?
Cheers
Craig
the guns have no shine to them, they are far to matte compared to the rest of the car.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the reflections. Im still painting a texture for the guns.
My client keeps on changing the designs and stuff. And he still doesn't want me posting final renders on the forums because of the chance that they might get used somewhere else.
I think he's going for a cartoony feel. And, they are only going to be thumbnail size, so alot of the detail isn't used anyway.
I dont care really, as long as my client keeps on giving me feedback like:
"That is *rocking*."
"Those really, really rock. ",
"They're just about exactly what I'll be wanting.",
"I'm very happy with what I saw."
"That looks excellent."
"Check is sent :)."
