I've been working on my first caricature and now I'm ready to put on some hair and brows. I must admit, I don't know how to make eyebrows! I've searched for tutorials and have found nothing! I've also never made any hair for a character except fur using sas-lite. I want my gal to look cartoony and want her hair to look blobby and plastic-like so no sas-lite. Any suggestions?

I've included her real photo and her caricature. Keep in mind, I've not given her a real grin yet, I'm saving that for a later using endomorphs.

It depends on whether or not you want it to move or not. In the non moving department I would say model the hair. Make it detailed enough so that you can tell it is hair, but don't try to model every hair. In the moving department you could also model it, but it requires finer subdivisions and then morphs or bone structures as well. The eyebrows can probably be the same modeling technique since you aren't going for super realistic. Someone just recently posted a stone bust of a head that they had made. They modeled the hair completely. I don't remember who it was, but you can probably find it by searching for 'stone' or something.

She will be animated so movement is neccessary. I've found several tutorials on modeling hair, but no brows.

Revision: the statue was by oDDity search 'head study'. I don't know much about eyebrows. You could try making a cylinder and extruding random polys, or you could try using splines and the create curve tool. I really have no clue.

One thing I notice right away compared to both reference pics is her hed seems a little short. I see some interesting thing in your mesh but without seeing a wire frame I'm not sure.

As for the eyebrows, there are several techniques I know of, on is to paint it on in the texture map. Another is to use hair guides like you would for long hair and plug sas into that. The last one would be to model each individual hair which get poly expensive.

Nice start by the way I like the character you have already built into her face.
