Here's a stool I modelled and textured last night..
I used a reference image found in google's image search.
And I plan to use it on the home page of my business website.

What do you think?

Yeah, I'm diggin' the funky stool.
The only thing I'd do to it is add stitching where the white and blue vinyl meet, and I'd probably model the seam indented a wee tad.
It sure is super clean too, which looks great, but I'd probably dirty it up just a hair. Mostly fingerprint-smudges type stuff, nothing more than that.
That's what I would do. What would you do?
Looks great! You rock, dude. Keep going...

it's not too bad, but why the stool? I've seen you post work much more worthy of a prime front page spot!

Sometimes the best things are the most simple ones.

It's a little too perfect and clean, but otherwise looks good.

It may be too big for your little guys to sit on... :(

Looks good to me. Not sure I agree that it needs some dirt. Ok, so it is clean, but that seems to be what is required in that render anyway. The render doesn't suggested realism but some sort of style. To put fingerprints on it would ruin it.

"Funky Stool" sorry I was searching for the scat fetish thread, how did I end up here??

You can see by the screenshot what kind of style I was after. I wanted it professional, smooth, welcoming, funky and be very clean.
If I was going to have it in an animation (i.e. a bar or cafe) I would dirty it up a bit.

and Matt: I know I have other work which is better from a lightwave point of view, but this is more about the interface, and I'm sure you, of all people, can appreciate that. ;)

Thanks for the comments..
