Hi there,

Here's a model i made for an add campaign.
My job was to model and texture a battery on rails but since i had short time that period i have let a friend do the texturing job.
The friend i'm refering to is emecstudios.
i finished the model and gave him a nice Hdri that he could use on the model.
The model is rendered out on 3dsmax, he also own's lw but only for a month and i have to help him out learning the app before he can actually make productions with lw.

The people in the battery are done by the add adgency that hired us.
Now the downside... the addagency got bankrupt and we did not get paid :(

O well, then again, it's nice for our portfolio...

Hey Pensart, real cool work... you did the best part... I know getting paid become harder these days, I am from Luxembourg, (but in fact I am french) so many companies in here that do business and then run away.... without paying anything off course....

I have a question though... how did you manage the background ..? Is it 2D photoshop or 3D LW or a combo of both ??

Last (just ignore if it bother you) How do you (usually) charge ? by hours or by workpiece ?

Cheers, have a nice week-end.

Hi Pensart,

Looks good! I did a (2D) billboard for the same brand once and indeed for the same agency (impuls?)! And guess what?! The company I work for didn't get paid either...
Anyway, nice to see some Belgians on the board. Do you got a website? Like to some other work of you! Always nice to meet up with Belgian LW-users, since I'm only starting to use LW for the company. I did some some small things, but they weren't that great...

Greetz,

Koen

Thanks for the nice words ;)

The background was a real photo taken in the park with havy filters on it. It came from the agency.

I usually charge by dayprice.
With a minimum of 1 day work.
ofcourse when i have to do some internet stuff, the dayprice is cheaper then when i do 3d...

Just try to find out what other compagny's in your area would charge.

Greetings,
Guy

Hi Koen,

Also thanks for the comment.
The compagny i worked for was not Impuls. And they got their bankrupt from other compagny's, not memorex.

I totally agree that seeing other belgian guy's on the board is very cool :P

My website will be online in about a month or so. I'll let u know.
Do u have a website online?

All regards.

Hi Pensart,

I'll have a site up and running hopefully by the end of the summer. And I was wrong about the agency, it was 'response'...
