model by nigelschutte from this thread:

Composition Challenge (http://www.subdivisionmodeling.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104)

found the bg photo on the web, and composited the model over top. one area llight as the key (no shadows), two spec only lights and backdrop radiosity for the fill light. "shadow" under the car is the new a.o. nodal shader. appears successful, critiques welcome of course:D

Looks good. I think the scale is slightly off but I am not certain. The tires seem a bit large for the perspective.

Seems like the shadow is a little too soft compared with the other two cars. It may need tightened up some.
Also, the lighting appears off from the other cars as well. Try experimenting with a luminous polygon over top of the car to get similar reflections.

Positioning is good, but it just doesn't look like it is there yet. Defo more time needed on Lighting and surfacing.

Cheers!

Body color is too saturated... make it less so, and the color will suit the scene better. all other comments above are true too, its definately too big...

But, a great setup, and it should take you only minutes to make it perfect!

Nice composite. Agree though that the shadow is too soft and the reflection is different: to me, looks like the car is locally lit (e.g., reflection only over the right window vs. over both in other cars).

cool. the position nof the first car (brown/orange) makes it look a little flat like a cardboard cutout, cause i can't see how wide that car is. but overall it's very nice.

Yup, it isn't quite "in the scene" for me yet. still a bit bright and saturated.
