We have purchased a Tricaster and I am wondering about this statement in the manual.

"For anaolg captures, you must connect either a composit or S-video video cable to Input 1. Input 1 is the only anaolg video input active for capture. Connect the stereo audio cables to the Line input upper left."
Does this mean I can only capture what is coming in on Input 1 and nothing else? Or can I still capture each input with transitions (DVE) and overlays or will this require capturing the Tricasters output.
