Man that's a lot of ray tracing lol. How long did it take to render?

That took about 5 minutes to render, and the cage is still in construction...I have to add a pivoting door and also I am still trying to animate the ropes so that they move... The raytracing was from the arena lights...there is about four spot lights aim at a 45 degree angle...
I am going to try a caustics map on it and try to force bars of light through it...

If anyone downloads this, I would really love your opinions and suggestions, thanks a million...
The ropes are too thick I think and the cages wouldn't cast shadows like that I don't think...also make the posts holding up the fencing like a fence you'd see in a yard...just skinny posts...I think that would look alot better then thick chunky columns...IMHO.....the lighting at a wrestling or UFC match is so bright that they all get drowned out....just a thought....great job though....look forward to an update:)

Yeah I noticed, when I recreated the ropes, it slowed my computer down because of the high polygon count. The cell, I used shaders and texture maps... I can rebuild the caging and redo the texturing... the ropes may pose a threat on my memory. Thanks, I'll begin an update....

Here is an updated version of my arena...noticed how I rerendered the ropes and the surrounding cage area, making the bars subpatched...and the shadowing is all raytraced

And here it is again...surrounding...
I tried looking up an example on google and could'nt find one....you might want to try looking around yourself....there isn't a space between the cage and the ring and those shadows are still way too strong...when you throw characters in there...you're going to have some real issues with the shadows on them....I also think the supports for the cage are still a little thick...look up a chain link fence and you'll see what I mean...also...on top of the cage there's a bunch of support bars not just a single bar...if I could've found an example I would've posted sorry if i'm not giving a visual....nice update though..keep going:)
