Anyone have any recommendations on a good photo printer? Just needs to print on standard size 8.5x11 paper. Getting ready to start the research, just wanted to hear some first-hand experience.

Hi Matt,
basic differences in printers:
1) 4 color or 6 color ink (6 for better picts)
2) traditional inks or "archive quality" inks ...have fun looking into these options
3) printers themselves are fairly inexpensive but the inks are where the cost factor comes in do your research!!
4) resoloution how much do you need? most printers are now 1400 dpi as standard. Look into the average size prints you want to make. 4x6 or 5x7 is fairly common so most off-the-shelf printers will do ($150 -$200 range)
5) Epson and Cannon seem to offer the higher end printers (the order online types) these start around $250 and on up. I haven't done any research on printers for around 6 months now so that's why I offered generic answers :)
Have fun spending some clams
