It's a helmet. Not much else to say.

Very nice clean render and good texturing too. The only thing I would change is the surface of the table/floor.

Yeah I actually thought the same thing and am planning on changing it, making it a little more smooth I think.

Is the orange part supposed to be plastic or metal?
It looks like painted metal, because of the high spec and reflection settings.
It also looks unbelievabley clean. Makes it look fake.
I don't mean put dirt on it, if it's for a product shot, but even something that looks like a little condensation in areas, you know, like if you breathed on it, just to kill the relentless, perfect shine.
I also suggest a less blurred reflection, it looks better if you can see decernable window relections in it or something, makes it look like it has a higher gloss, more like plastic.
Take a look at this photo.

Might I suggest putting it in more of a studio lighting environment? That usually works well for this kind of shot, I think.

I agree with the things mentioned above, a sharper reflection and better floor texture. I do like the lighting this way though.
Anyhow, very beautifull image as it is already.

Thanks Sarford, that's what I liked about it was the lighting, I wanted to try something a little different from the usual product lighting. I'll try not blurring the reflections next time as well.

I have a similiar project I am working on. A football helmet. Trouble is trying to cut holes in the sphere are causing some crazy artifacts in the render. Did you model this using a sphere?
Thanks a ton since this is really giving me a hard time and the only thing holding me up on the finished render. non-paying, just for fun project by the way.

Don't use booleans to cut anything, it's useless. Use extender to model what has to be modeled.

Thanks Oddity! Yeah, thats exactly what I was using and talk about hexing it up! :thumbsdow
I'll give that a try and see how it works out.
Thanks again!

Remember to use 'select loop' to select rings of points when extending rather than doing it manually. Very useful command to map to a convenient hotkey that one.
Actually, I think the way it is is awesome. Even though is't a stationary product shot, there's an illusion of movement because of the table texture and the blurred reflections.
Wouldn't mind seeing it with a different table texture and clearer reflections for comparison though. Love the lighting. Gives the feeling of bike riding in the evening.
Metal/plastic - it doesn't matter. These days plastic can be painted to look like metal and vice versa. The important thing is that the product looks the way you or the client wanted. Great work!
