View Full Version : does this tool exsist?
i dont' think there is but ... just curious maybe i'm just blind and can't find it ... is there a tool that allows you to select to points and have them meet each other ... or come together? I know you can drag em just thought it'd be a nice tool ... and thought they might have one ... thanks in advace.
When you say, "come together" - do you mean merge into one point? Or do you want them separate, but on the same coordinates?
The "Weld Average" command is located on the default workspace: Detail Tab, under subsection: Points. This command will bring the two points together in the midpoint of their direct connecting line (though, they don't have to be connected, but if there was an imaginary direct connecting line, this command would weld them together at that line's midpoint). However, both points become one single point with this command, so it may not be what you are looking for.

Yes, this tool does exist, there are three options to do what you want. Weld, Weld Average and Snap. Weld moves the every point selected after the first one to the location of the first one and makes them all one point. Weld average is explained above. Both can be found in the detail tab. Snap moves points to the location of other points but keeps them seperate. Snap is in the modify tab.
