I am using LW 7.5 and have selected the Buffer Export option in the Scene tab to export a depth image for the scene. This works fine and I get a B&W image the same size I set for the main rendered image that has the depth map. But it is not anti-aliased. I have set anti-aliasing for the scene, and the main rendered image seems to be anti-aliased, but the depth map has jagged edges. Is there any way to get it to have anti-aliased edges?
Also, a bump map on the texture of an object does not show in the depth buffer export. This makes sense I guess, since bump maps are usually rendering tricks on the texture rather than true changes in the depth. But is there some other way to add a true depth modification to the surface of objects that will make it through to the depth buffer and show on the buffer export image as real depth changes?
