Is the hand suppose to be on the Unicorn's nose?
I can't quite figure it out, but the hand seems to be floating off a little way from the nose. A missing shadow maybe?

Love the detail on the modeling, and the hair is very nice.

The hand is on the uni's nose, just the shadow is long and soft so it looks that way.

Okay all of you say she looks like Jackson, I guess I see the resemblence a little from a distance but not closeup and I'm not sure what's making her look like that, any suggestions?

I didn't think she looked like Jackson. I guess maybe parts of her face aren't as 'feminine" as some people would like them to be. The shadow above her lips almost looks like a mustache. And perhaps the curve of the chin is too sharp? Maybe make the nose a little smaller (a la Jodie Foster)?

I love the horse, but something is seriously wrong with her face..
She is very vacant, you know, staring off into space, give her something to focus on..

Oooh, except for the slightly purple hue, I love the lighting on the last one. The face, as everyone seems to be mentioning, still seems a bit odd - but that's probably because everyone wants a(especially a woman's) face to be beautifully perfect. I think 'real' faces, with more natural quirks are more appealing - with that said, I'd still try to tweak the face some more (unless you're happy with it and it is as you intend it to be).

I agree with Hurben - she is either empty-headed, or she's staring off into her own zone, deep in thought. That's not necesarily a bad thing, but it might help her look more real if she had an obvious focus (perhaps looking at the unicorn's face, bending her head ever so slightly to gaze at it?).

Looking good though! It's a nice composition... though, I can't figure out WHERE the hind end of the unicorn is suppose to be...it just sorta disappears...

I think main thing that makes people say that she looks like michael jackson is the nose area... The bridge of the nose currently looks pretty thin and fairly sharp. So perhaps if you don't wanna 'be like mike' I would suggest making the nose a bit broader.

I think this one looks a lot better.

One thing that kinda bothers me is i'm confused about the time of day... The background is very dark and indicates that perhaps all of this is taking place by moonlight, yet the lighting would seem to indicate mid morning or something like that.

If it's supposed to be a night scene, perhaps make the light a bit colder, more blue/greyish hues. Otherwise put something in the background to suggest that its not dark.

:) Love the mood/setting of this. Also, the girl looks amazing... Well most of her anyway ;) In my opinion, you need to fix her head, she looks to much like michale jackson.. But either way, it looks great.
