That's a lot of Harddrives. Here's something I've learned to consider after putting up with a SuperMicro setup for the last couple years.

N O I S E ! ! !

I will be looking for a quiet or silent setup the next time around. If you don't mind the sound of a VACUUM running while you edit then I guess that's OK. Or if you keep your computers in seperate space then the rack mount server setup could be fine.
