Posting this here in case you guys dont read the Game Dev forum.
Google has made a free version of SketchUp, the pro version is still $500.
The free version is limited, so you cant export 3D models into LW and other things. But you can load in AutoCad files and the tools will snap to the lines so you can get an accurate footprint.
