Hello, I know this is a bit off topic but I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on what sound software to use. I want to be able to make sound effects and simple music clips and also be able to edit my voice.

I use SoundForge. It'll do all you asked and much more. It's got a great intuitive interface too. There are less expensive apps than this, and I've tried a few, but I still like SF. Read about it here:
